Interplanetary: Uranus {8/9}
Crown me with icicles of aquamarine, a Sky Queen robed in tiers of vapor, crystalline eyes boring through darkness with light.
I preside over the Future; I see what is to come. The stagnant and the staid crumble at my feet, and I skip along the pieces — my own Jacob’s ladder, my stepping stones to a world where minds have room to roam.
I slide down the backs of lightening bolts. I intuit each zig and zag, predicting the unpredictable and finding solace in the turbulence of radical Change. Test me. Provoke me. Shock me. It is in these outer reaches, these uncharted depths, that I thrive. Lady maverick.
I revel in the Truth, the certainty only the Cosmos itself fully grasps. It whispers its stories into the inky blackness, the answers to Everything sent floating through the Universe. It is Knowledge shared with those who have souls peaceful enough to feel it.
It is a long journey to this place, where I am. Some will make it for the challenge, and the glory. Some will make it to close the gap between their every day and the Unknown. And some will make it because they hear a melody they can't quite grasp but desperately want to sing.
That's how I'll know you, when you arrive: by the sound of your voice, which you'll raise in concert with winds that race and tumble, filling the skies with a music never before heard.
It's a song you don't yet realize you know by heart.
